What began with an idea and some scribbling on a napkin, eighty-one year-old, Tom Gipson, from Granbury, Texas, took his idea to fruition with a one-of-a-kind roping chute.

Sheridan Fire-Rescue, law enforcement, and other emergency response agencies will assemble at the Fire Station in Sheridan for a time of remembrance Sunday.

Kilpatrick Creations player of the game, #23 Jordan Roberts, scored 14-seconds into the game against Cheyenne South Friday evening and then followed with another 5-touchdowns for a total of six before #21 Nate Kane, #10 Kevin Bakkehaug and #11 Jonah Lehmann added three more for a total of 9-TD's on the evening.

A planned burnout of an area near structures in the path of the Reservoir Fire in the Cloud Peak Wilderness caused a smoke plume visible in the Sheridan area Friday.

A Sheridan man serving four years probation for his role as a co-conspirator in stealing prescription drugs from a UPS truck while working as an employee of UPS, admitted to violating his probation to Judge John Fenn on Thursday in 4th District Court.
