Buffalo Council Approves Emergency Response Plan

At their last meeting the Buffalo City Council approved the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) as drafted and presented by Johnson County Emergency Management Coordinator Marilyn Connolly.

Commission Hears Future Of Uranium in Johnson County

At their last regular meeting, the Johnson County Commissioners heard an update on the current situation at uranium mines in Northeast Wyoming and elsewhere in the state along with the future of the industry and the impacts they can expect in the coming years.

Trail End Hosts Successful Holiday Weekend

This past Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Trail End State Historic site opened its doors for a Christmas extravaganza. It was the annual open house at the Trail End. Site superintendent, Cynde Georgen, fills us in.

SHERIDAN RAMPAGE HOOP CHAMPS

The Sheridan Rampage won the 7th grade boys' division in the Billings Holiday Classic 5-on-5 basketball tournament on December 9th.

They defeated the Bozeman Scorpions in the championship game 46-37.

Kalif Shrine Hosts Christmas Party

Santa shows up in quite a few places this time of year, and the Kalif Shrine is no exception. Sheridan Media's Judy Hagerott stopped in at the annual Christmas party the Shriners put on the for the little people and brings us this story.

Saturday was the day and the Kalif Shrine was the place to be if you ever were or are still a kid at heart. Balloons, food, toys, Rudolph, Mrs. Claus and of course Santa were inside the Shrine Auditorium to meet, greet and treat you. Santa had a lot of help from the many Shriner helpers on hand.

Buffalo vs. Riverton

Buffalo hosted Riverton Friday night at BHS. The Bison fell to the Wolverines 56-45 while the Lady Bison beat the Lady Wolverines 46-43.

Johnson County Weekend Sports Wrap

Athletes at Buffalo and Kaycee High Schools were in competition this weekend and most had a good weekend overall.

The Bison boys' and girls' basketball teams hosted the 4A Riverton Wolverines Friday night and the varsity teams split their games.
