Johnson County High School Sports Look Ahead For 10-18

Taking a look ahead in Johnson County high school sports for this week, Buffalo and Kaycee athletes will be competing and getting ready for fall sports to wind down.
The Buffalo Bison football team and the rest of Class 3A will know more about their playoff pairings after this weekend's games. The Bison travel to take on Rawlins Friday night, with kickoff set for 6pm.
The Kaycee Buckaroos will play Midwest this Saturday at 3pm.

Buffalo Chamber Luncheon Awards Banquet Wednesday

Buffalo Chamber of Commerce's monthly luncheon will be Wednesday at the Bozeman Trail Steakhouse. This month will feature the awards banquet to recognize individuals and businesses that have made a difference for the Buffalo community and made an impression on the voters that nominated and supported them.

Beautiful Day for a Walk Through Thone-Rider Park

Monday morning was a beautiful day for a walk beneath the blue sky and among the fallen leaves. And Thorne-Rider Park was just the place to do it. Many Sheridan residents don't realize the vastness of the 57 acre park that was deeded to the City of Sheridan in 1926 by the Kendrick family.

A media release from the office of Wyoming Secretary of State Max Maxfield on Monday stated that Wyoming has received a settlement from the brokerage firm Raymond James for misleading clients in auction rate security sales. Maxfield commented on the settlement.

The Broncs Smoked the Trojans @ Homecoming

Thanks to help from Senator Bruce Burns the Sheridan Broncs 'smoked' the Kelly Walsh Trojans at homecoming on Friday evening. Actually Senator Burns provided fireworks during half time that illuminated the sky above Scott Field in a tremendous visual display and a few loud bangs for extra measure.

'Pet-O-Ween' Scheduled Earlier this Year, Saturday October 22nd

Perhaps the only place where dressing up your pet and bringing it out into public is not frowned upon, the 11th Annual "Pet-O-Ween" event is this Saturday in Kendrick Park.
