Mischke Talks About Career

Information specialist Warren Mischke, who's been with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department for nearly four decades, the past two spent in Sheridan, is retiring. A party to see him off has been planned for today, from 2-4, at the local office on Valley View Drive.

Trick-or-treaters that may have received more candy than they know what to do with, or those that stocked up on candy and didn't get the door-to-door traffic that their accustomed to, will have an opportunity to unload those sweets for a good cause.

Former Bronc Gabe Dahmke receives academic all-conferene honors at South Dakota school of mines

PORTLAND, Ore. – South Dakota School of Mines sophomore soccer player Gabe Dahmke was the lone Hardrocker to earn Great Northwest Athletic Conference Soccer Academic All-Conference honors announced Wednesday afternoon.

Dahmke is a 6-foot-1-inch defender for the Hardrocker soccer program currently in its second year of existence. The Sheridan, Wyo., native also becomes the first ever South Dakota School of Mines scholar-athlete to earn a conference honor at the NCAA Div. II level.

State Volleyball / Football Playoffs / College Hoops

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Tongue River Lady Eagles and Big Horn Lady Rams opened the state volleyball championships in Casper yesterday.

The Lady Rams were pushed to the limit by Wind River but survived taking the 5th and deciding game 15-8 they will play Lovell in the semi finals this evening.

The Lady Eagles lost in three games to Kemmerer and fell into the consolation bracket and will play an elimination match with Wright.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams host Lyman this afternoon kickoff is at 2:00 Ron Richter has a preview.

Brisk winds didn't discourage the Halloween crowd from trick-or-treating Thursday night and Sheridan Media's Judy Hagerott was there and brings us this story.
