Trees of Love were Lit Sunday

It was a time of remembrance, but also a time for Sheridan's Memorial Hospital Auxiliary to host its annual Trees of Love fundraiser.

Busy Buffalo weekend capped by cold parade

The winning float from this year's parade, by DeSava Gardens/Tri-County Gas, a spoof of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

This past weekend in Buffalo was a busy one, with shopping, fun events, chili and of course the annual lighted parade.

Bison, Bucs winter sports seasons underway

Both Kaycee and Buffalo High School's winter sports teams were in action this weekend and are off to promising starts.

The Bison basketball team was at the East/West Classic hosted by Cody, and they went 1-2 during the weekend.

Police Chief responds to 9-1-1 question

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder answered a question from the public at the last city council meeting concerning 9-1-1 phone calls.

UW has new football coach

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Craig Bohl was introduced by University of Wyoming Athletics Director Tom Burman as the new head football coach of the Wyoming Cowboys on Sunday.

Bohl has been the head coach at North Dakota State since 2003, and has built a national power at NDSU. His teams have won back-to-back National Championships at the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level the past two seasons.

His team entered the 2013 FCS Playoffs as the No. 1 seed and is currently 12-0 entering the third round of the playoffs.

Sheridan High School Principal Dirlene Wheeler announced that she'd be retiring at the end of the academic year next June. She described her thoughts as she prepares to retire – and her hopes for the future of Sheridan High School.

Uranerz Secures Industrial Revenue Bond

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A uranium company has secured a $20 million state industrial development revenue bond to begin production at an in-situ uranium mine in northeast Wyoming. The bond for Uranerz Energy Corp. carries a 5.75 percent interest rate.
