The school trustees for Sheridan County School District 1 are anticipating a request from the Tongue River Valley Joint Powers Board at their meeting next week.

Recreation District Hears Promotions Proposal

Members of Sheridan County Recreation District 1 received a proposal Wednesday from a Sheridan public relations firm interested in helping the district promote plans for a proposed Big Horn
Recreation Center.

Lodge Grass School Still Closed

The Lodge Grass school that was closed earlier in the week due to a water pipe break will stay closed through the end of the week.

Bronc swimmers open 2013-14 tomorrow / SHS Hoops v Natrona county

BRONC SWIMMERS - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers and divers open their season this weekend, tomorrow they compete at the Casper relays and Saturday at the Gillette pentathlon.

Head coach Brent Moore has 16 Broncs in the pool this season and says the numbers are up a bit and he's excited to see them compete this week.

They've been practicing for a week and a half and Moore says besides battling some illness they've put in the hard work to get them ready for tomorrow's meet.

Mikesell-Potts Contract Discussed, Tabled

The annual contract between Johnson County and the Wyoming Game and Fish for them to perform maintenance on docks and the restrooms at the Mikesell-Potts Recreation Area at Lake DeSmet was brought up to be discussed and renewed at the commissioner's meeting this week.

Johnson County Kids ages 4 through fourth grade will have the opportunity to shop for their families for Christmas thanks to the St. Luke's Lutheran Church's Christmas Kids Shoppe.

Johnson County School District Audit 'Clean'

The Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees got the report on their 2013 preliminary draft audit at this week's meeting, and the findings were it was a “clean report.”
