Huckleberry Daze Makes His Return

Huckleberry Daze, a sculpture of a whimsical grizzly bear by artist Jerry McCellar made his return to Sheridan Thursday with a ceremonial unveiling at the Community Park in Sheridan on the corner of Main Street and Coffeen Avenue.

JCSD1 Board Awards Bids For Insurance, Storage

At their meeting Monday night, the Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees voted to approve two separate bids, one for property/casualty insurance and the other for a storage building and drainage work at Buffalo High School.

Road & Bridge Updates Jo Co Commission On Projects

At their last meeting, the Johnson County Commission discussed a number of othe road projects with Road And Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer.

Briefs From Buffalo Council Meeting

A few items from the last Buffalo City Council Meeting:

City Building Inspector Toby Rhoades reported that he has issued one permit to build a new home and has two other permits pending.
He has also issued five permits for new roofs to existing homes in the city.

Field of Honor Planned for Sheridan

Leathercraft Show Opens Friday

The Rocky Mountain Leather Trade Show gets undeway at 9 o'clock Friday morning at the Holiday Inn in Sheridan. More than 55 vendors will converge at the third-largest convention in Wyoming to showcase their wares related to the trade of leather craftsmanship.

Bike to Breakfast Friday

Friday morning is the last work day of Bike to Work Week, a construct of the Wellness Council of Sheridan County and the Downtown Sheridan Association, and it's the one time a year in Sheridan when people can “Bike to Breakfast.”
