Sheridan County School District One and Three canceled their school day Thursday due to the recent blast of winter we received. The fact that School District Two elected not to scrap the day had some parents wondering why.

Tax season is getting underway, and a new report lays out the percentages taxes take out of family incomes in Wyoming. The "Who Pays?" study shows taxes as a percentage of income are lowest for the richest and highest for the poorest.

Report Shows Climate Could Be Affecting Wyoming Wildlife

The National Wildlife Federation released a report Wednesday that shows how critters in Wyoming, large and small, are being affected by the climate. The research examined how species, such as grizzly bears, sage grouse and butterflies, are being impacted by a changing climate.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams will play at Gillette tonight the girls varsity game will start at 5:30 with the boys going at 7:30 both games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 fFM.

The girls game should be a good one with the Lady Broncs ranked #1 in the 4-A this week the Camels are #4.

The Broncs are up against the state's number one ranked team tonight Head coach Gale Smith.

G&F Approves Lease at Lake DeSmet, What Next?

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department, at their meetings in Cheyenne last week, approved the lease of water rights in Lake DeSmet to help protect the fishery in the lake, after months of negotiations and re-negotiations by themselves and Johnson County.

Buffalo, Kaycee HS Sports Weekend Preview 02 01 13

A busy weekend of high school sports should've begun last night in Buffalo as both the boys' and girls' basketball teams were scheduled to take on the Worland teams, but those games were postponed due to weather and road conditions.
The games have been re-scheduled for February 12th with the same game times.

Next up for the teams, the Bison will play at Glenrock on Saturday with game times at 1, 2:30 and 4pm.
The Lady Bison will host Glenrock Saturday with games at BHS also at 1, 2:30 and 4pm.

At their meeting this week in Kaycee, the Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees heard a construction update on the new Cloud Peak School from District Business Manager Matt Ramey.

Buffalo HS FFA 'Blue Jean Ball' Saturday At Fairgrounds

The Buffalo FFA Supporters will present their “Blue Jean Ball” this Saturday at the Johnson County Fairgrounds' Community Building.

The event is a fundraiser for Buffalo FFA Students to fund scholarships, leadership camp and other FFA functions.
