SHS Wrestlers Close-out Home Season

Saturday afternoon the Sheridan Wrestlers took to their home mat for the last time this season against Cheyenne Central. Sheridan kept it close until the very end but ended up getting out scored 41 to 27. Sheridan won five matches including two by falls.

Broncs too much for Bison

Saturday afternoon the Sheridan Broncs notched another win - this one over the Cheyenne South Bison 53 to 38. The game was even after one at 14-14, in the second the Broncs doubled up the Bison 18-9, in the third it was South with 7 and 5 for Sheridan and in the fourth the Broncs again doubled up the Bison 16-8. South's #42 Isaiah Sims led all scorers with 18.

Central Wyoming Counseling Center Receives $25,000 Grant

The Central Wyoming Counseling Center, a non-profit community behavioral health and substance abuse treatment center, recently received $25,000 in grant funding. The grant came from the Blue Envelope Health Fund, which has played a major role in the CWCC since its inception in 1959.

Wyoming Wolf Count Wrapping Up

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming wildlife officers who are finishing their annual wolf count say they expect the totals to be about 170 wolves and 15 breeding pairs - well above the state's goal. Reports are that the state was aiming to have 100 individuals and 10 breeding pairs.

Mayor Explains NMA Funding

During his monthly visit on KROE'S Public Pulse program Thursday, Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey was asked a question from a caller about North Main, in particular, why the City has continued to fund the North Main Association to the tune of $185,000 between October of 2009 and May of 2012.

Furthermore the Mayor added.

Panel Kills Bill Allowing Guns in Wyoming Schools

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A bill that would allow people to carry concealed guns in Wyoming K-12 schools and on college campuses has died in a Senate committee. No one on the Senate Education Committee made a motion Friday to recommend House Bill 105 and so the bill does not advance further.

BHS Forensics Fourth At Casper Tournament

The Buffalo High School Forensics team traveled to Casper last weekend (February 1st and 2nd) to compete in the Mustang Classic hosted by Natrona County High School.

Rams down the Eagles 59 - 45

A technical on the Rams allowed a free throw by the Eagles top scorer Matthew Yellowtail to start Friday's game instead of a normal tipoff. Apparently the "T" was a result of an improper uniform top or number by Big Horn's Colter Carzoli.
