Based on the growing numbers of kindergarteners within Sheridan County School District Two, the State Facilities Commission has allocated funds for the district to purchase land for an additional elementary school.

Empower Wyoming, a group that offers self-defense, personal safety and boundary-setting training to people of all ages, will be meeting early next week in Buffalo and Sheridan. On Monday, training will take place in Buffalo between 6 and 9 p.m.

Sheridan Memorial Hospital continues to take steps in implementing the position of chief medical officer at the hospital. Hospital CEO Mike McCafferty has been meeting with staff over the last few weeks to explain exactly what the position will entail.

Fall Hunting Regulation Meetings Set for Sheridan Region

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has scheduled several upcoming open houses in the Sheridan region to discuss proposals for the 2013 fall hunting seasons in the area. Game and Fish Information Specialist Warren Mischke.

Rec. District Continues to Expand Programs for Seniors

Over the last couple of years the Sheridan Recreation District has made an effort to expand their programs available for senior citizens. Rec. District Executive Director Richard Wright says that there are a number of different outings planned for this year.

Buffalo, Johnson County To Review Joint Engineer Position

At the last city council meeting, City/County Engineer Wayne Hill gave his report and was then asked by Mayor Randy Dyess to collect his logs of hours worked and for which entity and have them ready for an upcoming meeting with the Johnson County Commissioners.

JCHC Board Gets Positive Financial Report

At their monthly meeting Wednesday night, the Johnson County Healthcare Center's Board of Trustees got positive financial news from Administrator Sandy Ward.
