Winter Driving Tips from WYDOT

Winter weather has arrived in Northeast Wyoming, as evidenced by the handful of semi-truck accidents just on Interstate 90 between Sheridan and Buffalo Tuesday night. This weather can cause highway surfaces to be slick and unpredictable, and when you factor in poor visibility and blowing snow, driving can be dangerous. Sheridan Media's Chris Foy has more.

Power Outage Affected Some Sheridan Neighborhoods Wednesday

A representative with Montana Dakota Utilities says at approximately 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, the power went out on the 1900 block of Big Horn Avenue and in some other areas in Sheridan. Technicians with MDU were dispatched and eventually restored power a few hours later.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals are back on the court in the Hoffman dome tonight hosting conference games with Little Big Horn community college games are at 5:30 and 7:30 and we will have them live for you on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

The Lady Generals have never lost to Little Big Horn but Head coach Frank McCarthy says the Rams have a very good team this year and the Lady Generals have a good challenge in front of them tonight.

The Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention for Sheridan County met Monday to discuss strategic plans to intervene when it comes to alcohol abuse, or use by minors.

Details on Tuesday Night's Closure of I 90's Eastbound Lane

The Wyoming Department of Transportation closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 towards Buffalo at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after a truck with a different kind of load caught fire near milepost 38.

Johnson County Scholarships Awarded At SCJC

The Sheridan College in Johnson County Advisory Board announced three recipients of the Johnson County Scholarship for the spring 2013 semester. They are Amanda Walter, Jacob Barrera and Shannon Horn.
