Even With Warm Days, Wyo Winter Travel Prep Still Important

(WYO NEWS SERVICE) – Wyoming's winter hasn't been as cruel as it can be, but cold days and snow storms can hit quickly. Pam Moen, spokesperson for Triple-A, says its always important to be prepared for winter travel in the Cowboy State.

The Big Horn Rams basketball team got past the Wright Panthers easily Friday night in Big Horn, 61 to 46. The Big Horn Lady Rams won as well behind a late push, 51 to 37. The Big Horn girls and boys teams will play at Moorcroft today with tip off times of noon and 1:30, respectively.

The Pep Band may have played just the music but no doubt the lyrics set the tone for Friday night's game between the Big Horn and Wright girls varsity basketball game.

Sheridan Arts Patron Among Governor's Award Winners

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Eagle Bronze Foundry of Lander and Cody painter Michael C. Poulsen are among the winners of the Governor's Arts Awards for 2011. The other winners selected by Gov. Matt Mead are Seymour Thickman, an arts patron in Sheridan, and a non-profit arts organization in Lander called Promoting Arts in Lander Schools.
