Buffalo Council Amends This Year's Budget, Adds Funds

At last week's Buffalo City Council meeting, the budget for Fiscal Year 2012 was amended by council vote.
Resolution No. 1334 amended the budget to show a total increase of $654,000.

How Sheridan Memorial Handled Wednesday's Power Outage

Wednesday's power outage affected over 3,000 MDU customers in Sheridan County. According to MDU Spokesman Mark Hanson, the outage was caused by a piece of equipment that broke on a transmission line causing two substations west of Sheridan to shut off.

Buffalo, Kaycee HS Schedules For This Week

Buffalo and Kaycee high school teams will be competing this weekend, with many at home or on the road but close to home.
The Bison boys' and girls' basketball teams will host Douglas on Friday and then host Worland on Saturday.
Game times Friday are 3, 4:30 and 7 for the boys; 3, 4:30 and 6 for the girls. Saturday's games are at 11, 12:30 and 4 for the boys; 11, 12:30 and 2 for the girls.
The Bison boys' swim team will be in Gillette today beginning at 4, and will travel to Lander on Saturday with that meet scheduled to begin at 11am.
