The public meeting on the Gilead Fire held in Buffalo Saturday evening drew about 50 concerned citizens who wanted to be updated on the current fire situation and to ask questions of those in charge of fighting the fire.
The update from the Incident Management Team on the Gilead Fire was early Sunday morning, and as of 6am the fire is at 5,720 acres and 40% contained.
The change in acreage for the fire is again due to better mapping, according to the release.
