Wood & Ligocki down Laramie 6-0, 6-0

Entering the third day of the longest home stand of the season on Saturday morning the Sheridan girls #1 Doubles Team got off to a great start. Hailey Ligocki and Rachel Wood, on the right, defeated Laramie's Rachael Peterson and Nikki Vaporis 6-0, 6-0.

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their meeting earlier this week, approved catering permits for the upcoming Bison Backers' Banquet and NRA Banquet.

Gilead Fire Update: 5,300 Acres and 30% Contained

The Incident Management Team on the Gilead Fire released the latest information on the fire this morning, and as of 8am, the fire was listed at 5,300 acres and 30% containment. The change in acreage was credited to better mapping.

Wyoming Considers Hunting, Fishing Basic Rights

Wyoming voters will decide in November's general election whether to amend the state constitution to specify that the opportunity to hunt, fish and trap will be preserved.

Honoring Fallen Heroes Blood Drive

To honor all fallen heroes, ServeWyoming, along with United Blood Services, will hold the Honoring Fallen Heroes Blood Drive this Wednesday, September 12th, from noon to 6 pm at the Sheridan Fire-Rescue building at 151 South Scott Street.

Governor Mead Applauds Wolf Delisting

Governor Matt Mead released a statement Friday saying he thinks the de-listing of the Wyoming gray wolf from the Endangered Species List has been a long time coming.
