The unofficial results for the Wyoming Primary Election are in and there were a couple of tight races in Sheridan County. For Sheridan City Council Ward 1, Anthony Fairbanks and Shelleen Smith will advance to the General Election, with Fairbanks garnering the majority of the votes.

Johnson County Election Results For The 2012 Primary

With all 16 precincts in Johnson County reporting, the results from the primary election have been released. The results are unofficial at this time, according to Johnson County Clerk Vicki Edelman.

Buffalo Council Approves Proposal For Financial Statements

Buffalo's City Council, at Tuesday Evening's meeting, approved a proposal from Dooley and Jelly, CPAs to provide financial statements to the city, in addition to the annual audit services they already are contracted for.

Sheridan County Approves G&F Lease for Lake DeSmet

The Sheridan County Commissioners Tuesday unanimously approved a 99-year lease with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department for Lake DeSmet water rights. Commissioner Bob Rolston says that the Commissioners have always been behind the proposal.

Beckton Road Closes Tomorrow, 8-Noon

County Road 89, also known as Beckton Road, will close tomorrow morning at 8 until approximately noon for required maintenance.

Highway Patrol Seizes 200+ Pounds of Marijuana

Troopers with the Wyoming Highway Patrol intercepted 231 pounds of high-grade Marijuana and $3000 in cash Sunday morning after stopping a commercial semi tractor pulling a trailer in the Elk Mountain area near Laramie.
