Buffalo's City Council will have their final meeting for August on Tuesday and will work through a light Agenda.

The city will have the third and final reading on Ordinance No. 1358, which will partially vacate an alley in the Hamilton Addition to the city.

Johnson County High School Teams In Action This Week

Buffalo and Kaycee High School sports teams will be in action this week and others will begin their seasons next week.

The BHS Golf team played at the Wheatland Invite last week and took both the boys and girls titles. They played at Gillette yesterday and will be there again today and will play at Rawlins Thursday and Friday.

The Lady Bison Swimmers will open competition by hosting their Buffalo Pentathlon this Friday at the Johnson County Family YMCA. They will then travel to Lander on Saturday.

Plant Accident Fatality Identified

*UPDATE* Aug 21, 10:50 a.m.
The Sheridan Police Department has confirmed Brett Collins, age 20, was killed yesterday at the Big Goose Water Treatment Plant. Collins was a member of the COP Construction crew building the new Clearwell site. A media release from the police department indicates Collins was struck in the head with the bucket of a track hoe.
