Fire Danger in Bighorns Remains Very High

The Bighorn National Forest issued a media release stating that despite Wednesday’s cloudy and cooler weather, the Bighorn National Forest is still in Very High fire danger, and will be continuing with fire restrictions.

Sheridan co-rec state runner up softball team.

The state tournament was held in Powell. They lost to Cole sports from Gillette 13-11 in the 10th inning in the title game.

Standoff at Apple Tree Inn Ends Safely

A police standoff that lasted several hours Tuesday at the Apple Tree Inn on Coffeen Avenue in Sheridan ended safely as 61-year-old J. Tuck was taken into custody after barricading himself in a room for much of the day.

Tuesday we heard a little bit about Theresa DeFeyter, who's a candidate for Sheridan City Council Ward One. Today we'll hear from the second of the three candidates, Shelleen Smith, who's a Sheridan native that owns her own business.

US AM UPDATE / RAMS FOOTBALL

US AM GOLF - Former Sheridan Bronc golfer Taylor Reed was eliminated from the US Amateur golf championships in Denver Tuesday. He opened play Monday at Cherry Hills country club and shot a 5 over par 76 his second round score was 80.

Reed was the only Wyoming golfer in this year's field nearly 300 players qualified for this year's event which used two different courses for the stroke play format over the first and second rounds.

The top 64 players start match play today.
