Ty's 64 Ride

Saturday afternoon Ty Fenster had the first 8-second Bull Ride of the 32nd Annual Sheridan County Rodeo. His ride, good for a score of 64, was watched closely by Cole Ponce, on the far left, who will be looking to top Ty's score on Sunday afternoon - that is if Ty doesn't better his 64 on his second ride Saturday evening. Dead Trout Showing Up in Area Waterways

Officials with the Wyoming Game and Fish Sheridan Region Office have been receiving reports of dead trout in local streams and rivers. Game and Fish Information Specialist Warren Mischke says that the hot and dry summer is taking its toll on fish in the area.

Sheridan County Fair Boasts Increased Attendance

This year's Sheridan County Fair drew a bigger crowd than it has in years past. Though the numbers have not been meticulously analyzed, Melissa Sterling, director of the Fair Board, was impressed with this year's turnout.

Sturgis Grant Lets SPD Put In Extra Hours

Sheridan's police officers are spending extra time on the streets emphasizing traffic law enforcement this month. Thanks to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Traffic Enforcement Grant, police have enough state funds to conduct an extra 100 hours of patrolling with an emphasis on motorcycle safety.
