Officials with the Wyoming Water Development Commission and EnTech, Inc, Professional Engineers hosted a public scoping meeting Wednesday to discuss details of an upcoming long term water supply study for the City of Sheridan and SAWS.

Tuesday night, officials with the Ucross Foundation prepared for the worst as the Cato Fire increased in size and appeared to be headed toward the facilities. Ucross Intern Liza Birnbaum says they were ready to evacuate if they had to.

Cato Fire Update For Thursday, June 28

The latest information available on the Cato Fire northeast of Buffalo was released this morning.
The National Interagency Coordination Center's Incident Management Situation Report was released by the National Weather Service's Riverton Office at 5:30am.

The Susan G. Komen Foundation, in partnership with GE, announced earlier this week that a traveling mammogram van will make rounds around the state to offer the lifesaving test to uninsured and rural women.

TROOPERS RUN STREAK TO 19 STRAIGHT

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers have won 19 straight games after sweeping a double header from Cody Wednesday night at Thorne-Rider stadium.

They took the first game 14-3 Josh Loseke homered in the first game, Schiller Murphy went the distance and got the win in game two striking out a season 10 batters as the Troops won 9-1.

They play two in Casper Friday against Jackson and a team from Colorado Springs then to Rapid City next week for a four game tournament.

Johnson County Fire Ban To Go Into Effect Thursday

Johnson County's Commissioners have called a special meeting for Thursday, June 28 at 9am to ratify a county-wide fire ban effective immediately.
