Park2Park on a Western Flyer

Former Mayor Jim Wilson is about 7 miles into the 10-mile round trip between South Park to North Park and back to South Park on Saturday morning. He was seen zooming down Alger Avenue on the return trip aboard his Western Flyer. You could run, bike, walk or stroll on today's outing and dogs were welcome.

Big Horn Mountain Festival Adds Old-Time Dance To Events

A new event for this year's 8th Annual Big Horn Mountain Festival will be an old-time dance to begin after the Michael Martin Murphey set Saturday, July 7.

Friday, down at Kendrick Park, began the 2012 Sheridan Karz Club Rod Run. Muscle cars, antiques, trucks, all had their glitz on as owners and car enthusiasts appreciated the time and effort put into these classics.

The Bighorn National Forest Service announced late Friday that Stage 1 fire restrictions for the Bighorn National Forest will go into effect at midnight Sunday, July 1st. Forest Supervisor Bill Bass said that low snowpack and an unseasonably warm and dry spring have prompted the restrictions.

Draft Master Plan Unveiled for Sheridan Railroad Historic District

A good number of people showed up for a public meeting on the draft master plan for the Sheridan Raiload Historic District.

The draft master plan for the Sheridan Railroad Historic District is available for public review and comment at the Downtown Sheridan Association website. Thursday night a public meeting was held to go over some of the details of that plan.
