2012 Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby Results

This year's Lion's Club Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby has wrapped up and results were released Tuesday afternoon.

The Grand Prize, a 2012 Kawasaki 610 4x4 XC was won by Traci Gorton of Gillette.

The Dayton Bell Tower that has stood since 1909 still stands but around 9:00 pm Saturday, May 26, 2012 it fell victim to a "Hit and Run" according to the Sheridan County Sheriffs Daily Law Incident Summary Report. This was followed later with a Sheridan County Sheriff's Arrest of a Jonathan Robert Melville - 18 - of Ranchester for DWUI, Leaving Accident . . . Arrested by SCSO.

The State Farm Wyoming Cup Champions

The State Farm Wyoming Cup, which is the youth soccer championships for Wyoming was won by the Sheridan U12 Boys Silver Division and they won the Gold medal. The Championship was held in Casper this past weekend.

The Sheridan Trooper Baseball Team will play their next three dates on the road before returning to Sheridan for a four day home stand. They open the road trip with two games at Rapid City Post 320 Saturday, then a double header in Powell Sunday, and two in Riverton Tuesday, June 5. Following that trip, they host four straight home double headers starting with Gillette on Friday, June 8; the first game will start at 5:00p.m.
