Wyoming Gov. Matt Mead is calling on the federal government to end federal protections for grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone area.

The City of Sheridan Planning Commission recommended approval to the Sheridan City Council the final plat and revised conceptual plan of the WYSTAR Recovery Campus Planned Unit Development II.

Officials with Sheridan County and the other municipalities within the county will be coming together this Thursday afternoon to work out a plan to divvy up approximately $2.8 million in consensus funding appropriated by the State Legislature.

The candidate filing period for this year's election in Sheridan and Sheridan County will be drawing to a close later this week.
