Patients Move Into North Wing of New Welch Cancer Center

The east wing of the new Welch Cancer Center is now open.

The new Welch Cancer Center began seeing patients in the north wing of the facility last week. Manager of the Welch Cancer Center Jennifer Pfister says that the move has been welcomed by staff and patients alike.

Making Way for the New @ the Welch Cancer Center

The Welch Cancer Center Patient Entrance door that has opened to welcome many since 1993 will soon fall prey to the jaws of the John Deere excavator of Sheridan's SSR Construction, Inc. - perhaps before the sun sets on Wednesday. Hospital oncologists have started treating patients in the new facility and it is time to tear down the old digs to make room for Phase 2 construction.

BRONC SOCCER COLLEGE SIGNEES - In an unusual event yesterday six Sheridan Bronc soccer players signed to play college soccer next season with the same school.

The "Sheridan six" will all be student / athletes the South Dakota school of mines this fall.

They are seniors Hunter Reece, Braden Drell, Sam LeTempt, Cole Smith, Gabe Dahmke and former Bronc Cody Schellinger who graduated from Sheridan high school in 2010 and from Sheridan college this spring and will join his former teammates on the field once again.

The Wellness Council of Sheridan County is hosting he 2nd annual Safe Kids Day Fair this Saturday in Sheridan. Wellness Council member Jessica Lindsley says there will be plenty of opportunities for kids to interact and learn about safety.
