Bridal Veil Falls - Sheridan Wyoming

Did you know that Sheridan has a Bridal Veil Falls? You don't have to go to Telluride, Colorado to see Sheridan's version instead you can go to the Sugarland Boardwalk and behold right in front of Roosters Cafe & Marketplace if you use a little imagination you can see the tumbling Bridal Veil (spirea plant) as it cascades over the retaining wall.

Police Award Three Scholarships

The recipients of the Sheridan Police Protection Association Kaleigh Rose Ford Memorial Scholarships were, from left to right: Gabe Dahmke, Maria Owen and Don Nielsen Jr. The scholarships were presented on May 21, 2012 by PPA member Officer Dan White at an award ceremony held at Sheridan High School. Each scholarship was in the amount of $500.00.

From this Monday afternoon photo it appears that Phase I of the Wyoming/Park Area is nearly complete and looks great. A kickoff workshop was held in March of 2010 and here we are just over two years later. What a change.

The Sheridan City Council approved the North Main Economic Development Strategy and Action Plan at their meeting Monday night. North Main Association Board President Shelleen Smith addressed the Council, stating that they'd like to embark on a study on the north Main corridor.

City of Sheridan Solid Waster Manager Charles Martineau reported to the City Council Monday during the latest budget work session that the Household Hazardous Waste Facility at the City Landfill continues to save the City money.
