Soon-to-be "Hardrockers"

Six Sheridan Bronc Soccer players are soon to be Hardrockers as in South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Hardrockers. Cody Schellinger who graduated from SHS in 2010 will be joined by SHS 2012 graduates-to-be Hunter Reece, Sam LeTempt, Cole Smith, Gabe Dahmke and Braydon Drell in attending school and playing soccer for the School of Mines.

Wyoming Snowpack Down to 45 Percent of Average

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming's snowpack pack is now down to 45 percent of average, compared with 152 percent of average at this time last year. The Natural Resources Conservation Service in Casper says all of the state's basins are below average this week.

Car/Bicycle Accident Results In Minor Injuries To Child

A child riding a bicycle to school was slightly injured Wednesday morning when a vehicle hit the child, and the Buffalo Police Department is looking for the vehicle and the driver.

Prom preparations are underway in the small gym at the Sheridan High School. Yes, it is that time of year again - time for the prom. From this sneak preview it has all the makings to be the "World's Greatest Prom" under the big top. I'll say no more except that the Grand March will begin at 7:00 pm Saturday, May 5th in the main gym.

Embezzler Sentenced in District Court

40-year-old Clearmont resident Camie Paumer was sentenced Tuesday in 4th Judicial District Court in Sheridan. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the details.

The Sheridan County Suicide Prevention Coalition is hoping to bring community care providers together to raise awareness and exchange ideas about how to provide comprehensive mental health care with the county's limited resources.

Bison Suffer First Loss To Worland In Overtime

The Bison soccer team got their first loss handed to them at home Tuesday as they fell to Worland 3-1 in overtime.
The loss gives the team a 9-1-2 record with two games left in their regular season.

The girls played at Worland Tuesday, but no score was yet available.

Commissioner Wildeman Seeking Re-Election In 2012

Johnson County Commissioner Albert “Smokey” Wildeman has officially thrown his hat in the ring to run for his seat on the county commission in this year's election.

Wildeman's seat is the only one up for election this year.
