"Grazing in the Grass"

To some folks "Grazing in the Grass" is a single that hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1968 or was in the soundtrack of "The Lion King 1 1/2" in 2004 but to this buffalo in the elk pasture above Kendrick Park it is a way of life in 2012. It doesn't seem to mind the overcast sky and rainy conditions that have dampened the spirits of some this weekend.

Johnson County Commissioners Award Scholarships

At their last meeting April 17, the Johnson County Commissioners awarded their scholarships to area high school seniors and one college student.

New Program to Expand Agriculture at Sheridan College

Starting this fall, students at Sheridan College will have the opportunity to study sustainable food systems with new courses that include food, ethics, and sustainability and exploring sustainability in agriculture.

The City of Sheridan has announced that in an effort to help keep the community clean and beautiful, they are offering two free weekends at the City Landfill. Administrative Assistant Darla Franklin gives us the details.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER / WYOMING TRACK CLASSIC POSTPONED

BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc soccer team beat Cheyenne Central Friday night 4-0. Today the Broncs play Cheyenne East the JV's will play at 10:00 and the varsity at Noon.

LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Broncs and Cheyenne Central played to a 0-0 overtime tie in Cheyenne Friday night. The Lady Broncs play at East this afternoon.

The teams close out the regular season next week on Friday hosting a double header with Gillette. The boys varsity game will be played at 4:00 and the girls will go at 6:00.
