Commissioners Approve CUP Request

The Sheridan County Commissioners spent most of their meeting Tuesday listening to public comment and discussing a conditional use permit request from Sheridan County resident Jill Small to host several outdoor antique and art shows on her property.

Pete Williams, First Lady To Speak To UW Grads

Laramie, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming first lady Carol Mead and NBC news correspondent Pete Williams will be among the speakers during University of Wyoming commencement ceremonies next month.

Wyo/Park Streets; Finishing touches underway

Last Thursday, April 12th, in a phone call to Mayor Kinskey during the Public Pulse radio program hosted by Sheridan Media's Kim Love a listener asked, "When are they going to re-start the Wyoming Avenue project?" The mayor indicated that the bidding paperwork had been finished and that once the frost is out of the ground the finishing touches to Phase One of the Wyoming/Park Streets improvement

More than 300 people attended the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation's annual fundraising banquet Saturday in Sheridan.


Three Sheridan county runners competed in the Boston marathon Monday. Del Acker and Curt Schwamb from Sheridan and Keri McMeans from Dayton.

Acker ran a time of 3:52:49, Schwamb ran the course in 2:58:07 and McMeans finished in a time of 3:58:47.

City Council Approves Franchise Agreement on First Reading

The Sheridan City Council wasted no time in working through a light agenda Monday night as they approved an ordinance to allow Sheridan County School District Two to enter into a franchise agreement with United Private Networks to provide a dedicated fiber optic network for all the schools in District Two.

Johnson County Closing Road Today For Culvert Work

Upper Clear Creek Road will be closed at times today to allow Johnson County Road and Bridge to replace a damaged culvert.
