Two new captains for Sheridan Fire-Rescue received their badges at a special recognition ceremony Thursday just prior to the Fire Civil Service Commission meeting. Captain Greg Luhman gives us his thoughts on being promoted from the Firefighter II level.

The spotlight may be on spring as Wyoming Senator Bruce Burns and Marge Johnston try out the lawn chairs in front of Shipton's Big R in Sheridan on Thursday. Perhaps Bruce was filling in Marge on the recently concluded legislative session in Cheyenne as they bask in the sunshine in 70-degree weather.

One Less Place to buy Expensive Gas

On Wednesday a crew from Robinson Contracting Inc. out of Casper was removing the pumps and storage tanks from the former Loaf'N Jug location on Coffeen Avenue in Sheridan. This must mean that who ever takes over the location won't have any pumps or tanks to pump fuel from in the future. Just one less location in which to spend your hard earned money on expensive fuel.

Police Searching for 2 Suspects Following High-Speed Pursuit

Police are searching for two male suspects who led them on a high-speed pursuit Wednesday night after an attempted traffic stop on Long Drive near the high school.

She says that she's done the things she said she was going to do.

District 1 to Up Seating Capacity at TRHS, BHS Stadiums

After a couple of years without a press box and limited seating at the newly remodeled Big Horn High School football field, Sheridan County School District 1 accepted bids for a project that will add 750 seats at Big Horn and Tongue River facilities.

Two SFR Firefighters to Receive Promotions

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL OPENS MONDAY

TROOPERS / JETS BASEBALL - Sheridan American Legion baseball coaches met with players and parents last night as they get ready to open the season Monday.

The Troopers and Jets will take to the field at Thorne-Rider stadium Monday evening, Troopers Head coach Ben Phillips is excited to get this season going as they return several players from a year ago.

Sheridan County OK's Affordable Housing Funding to Habitat
