CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The National Park Service has completed the second phase of its purchase of just over two square miles of state land inside Grand Teton National Park.

HAMILTON, Mont. (AP) - A Missoula County judge has sentenced a 50-year-old Florence man to five years in the Department of Corrections after the man pleaded guilty to his seventh charge of driving under the influence.

Energy Share of Wyoming, a non-profit agency that has provided energy assistance to households in need across the state, is asking for the public's support for the new year. According to a media release, the agency hopes to raise more than $125,000 to help more than 400 families statewide.

There's still time to nominate a teacher for the 2012-2013 Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Awards. The nomination deadline is January 7, according to Vice President of External Affairs for Arch Coal's western region, Greg Schaefer.

GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - City officials in Gillette are looking at new ways to promote coal exports by hosting government officials from outside Wyoming.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming's unemployment rate has reached its lowest level in over three years. The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services reported that Wyoming's unemployment rate declined slightly between October and November, going from 5.2 percent to 5.1 percent.

Buffalo City Planner Zach Montgomery reported to the city council that he has the approval of the Planning and Zoning Commission to begin the five year update to the 2007 Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP).
