22nd Annual Community Holiday Dinner Invites a Crowd

While the final count of attendees isn't in just yet, volunteers at the 22nd Annual Community Holiday Dinner say it was by far the best year ever. The Holiday Inn Convention Center was packed full of people enjoying a free meal and volunteering to help support the event. Even Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance.

Lighting the Trees of Love

In 1988, the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary started the Trees of Light ceremony as a means to raise funds for the hospital. In 1989, the name was changed to Trees of Love. The ceremony is held every year on the first Sunday in December.

Buffalo, Kaycee Basketball Teams Perform Well In Openers

Winter sports for Buffalo and Kaycee High School's athletes got underway this weekend with most teams in competition.

BHS hosted the East/West Tournament and the Bison won all three of their games on the way to winning the tournament.

Authorities say a Cheyenne man faces felony charges because he is suspected of firing shots at an apartment complex over an argument about $60.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that 27-year-old Larry A. Turner is charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
