NWCCD Board Approves Audit Report

The Northern Wyoming Community College District's Board of Trustees unanimously approved an unqualified audit report at their most recent meeting. Joni Kumor, a Certified Public Accountant, says from her research it all looks good.

Sheridan County Fair Board Trustees Talk Indoor Arena

At their latest meeting, the Sheridan County Fair Association's Board of Trustees gave some updates about their ideas for an indoor arena. Steve Eliason, chairman of the board, says rumors have been floating around.

There was alot going on this weekend for local athletes. Here are the results:

The Sheridan Bronc wrestling team saw some success at the Battle of the Big Horns tournament in Worland. Although they lost to Powell in their first match by of a score of 52 to 12. They went on to win against Mountain View 62 to 16, Rawlins 51 to 24, and Lander 35 to 33 before finally losing a close one to Riverton 38 to 32 coming in eighth place in the Gold Bracket.

Seattle Protests Target Coal Shipments

Hundreds of supporters and opponents of a plan to ship coal to a northwest Washington terminal gathered in Seattle for the final public hearing on the proposal.

Winter Season in Yellowstone is Now Underway

Yellowstone National Park is now open for the winter season as visitors are now able to travel to the park's interior roads on commercially guided snowmobiles or snowcoaches from the North, West and South entrances.
