The Frost Moon aka the Full Beaver Moon won't officially arrive in Sheridan until 7:46 am November 28th but it sure looked neat shining down on Sheridan College and the brand new Veterans Plaza with its three flags proudly flying the evening before.

SEEDA Appropriates Funds for Preliminary Analysis Work

The trustees for the Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority Joint Powers Board agreed to appropriate $25,000 to hire consultants CAEL and Avalanche, who'll begin preliminary work on phase one of a Career and Technical Education Training Study commissioned by SEEDA.

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Stroll Committee has announced the winners of the Business Lighting and Decorating Contest. For Best Indoor, 1st place went to Babe's Flowers, while 2nd place belongs to NEST Home and Holiday/Window Works and More.

Teachers, Students Wanted For Carousel Learning Center

The New Cowboy Carousel Center, which will be located at the old Beutler Building on North Lobban Street, is looking for teachers to teach and students to learn any subject where they can be brought together.

Sheridan Veteran Receives Posthumous Awards for WWII Service

Then a Private, Charles Johnson receives the Distinguished Service Cross while serving in Italy during World War II. His paperwork was lost and the awards were forgotten for more than 60 years, until now.

A former Sheridan resident and World War II veteran, Charles R. Johnson, was honored posthumously by Senator Mike Enzi this month after the U.S. Army lost paperwork documenting his heroic achievements. Chris Foy has the story.
