The Sheridan College CTEL was the site Tuesday evening for the first of two candidate forums hosted by the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee. The highlight of the evening was the City of Sheridan Mayoral debate between Dave Kinskey and Steve Brantz.

At their meeting Tuesday evening the Buffalo City Council approved on first reading Ordinance No. 1351 which will adopt the 2012 editions of the International Building Codes.

The Buffalo/Johnson County Recycling Center will be getting a new piece of equipment after getting promises from both the city and county for their portion of the cost.

At a press conference Tuesday afternoon the Johnson County Commissioners presented information on their most recent Resolution concerning the proposed lease between Johnson and Sheridan Counties and the Wyoming Game and Fish for water rights at Lake DeSmet.

If you would rather vote on election day than register and then vote on the same day, you have until October 22 to register. Wyoming Secretary of State Max Maxfield said today that October 22 is the last day, ahead of the November 6 election, for eligible voters to register.

Expansion of the Sheridan County Public Health building to allow for the Sheridan Health Center to move in is a project that's been in the works for over a year. Tuesday, the Sheridan County Commissioners awarded the bid for the project to O'Dell Construction in the amount of $527,000.

The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation will be holding its fourth annual breast cancer awareness run, called the Link, this Saturday. It costs $40 to register and the price includes a pink t-shirt and a snack bag.
