Railway Options Presented at Public Meeting

The findings of a six month long feasibility study on alternate railway routes north of Sheridan were presented Thursday afternoon at the Sheridan County Courthouse public meeting room. Forward Sheridan Executive Director Jay Stender.

The Sheridan Fire-Rescue Department is hosting its annual open house for National Fire Prevention Week on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the fire station.

As part of Fire Prevention Week, Sheridan Fire Marshal Brian Songer spent Thursday teaching students at Sheridan Junior High School cooking safety and how to use a fire extinguisher. Songer says it's all about educating the public about fire prevention.

Sheridan County Seeks Legal Counsel For Lake DeSmet Deal

The Sheridan County Commissioners met with involved parties of the Lake DeSmet Counties Coalition Joint Powers Board Thursday to seek legal advice concerning how Sheridan County can move forward in negotiating a water lease independently of Johnson County.

Fiber Arts 15 on "Wyoming Libraries Snapshot Day"

The Library Mezzanine of the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library is literally decked out in wall-to-wall quilts for all to admire. You may have missed the opening reception but you have until the end of October to view these works of art. At the desk at the top of the stairs is a binder of photos and clippings going back to the first fiber show: July-August 1998.

Competition continues at the Wyoming Special Olympics Fall Tournament in Casper as over 600 athletes from around the state are taking part in the tournament. The opening ceremonies were emceed by Sheridan RENEW participant Jeannie Ellinger.

Buffalo Swim Club Registrations Tonight At JCHC
