Green House Living

Green House Living for Sheridan will begin accepting elders at their facility in north Sheridan Wednesday, January 11th. Green House consists of four cottage type homes and one administration building. It will be 100 percent complete in late February or early March.

Out Numbered but not Outclassed

The Sheridan Broncs took to the pool against Campbell County on Thursday afternoon in their first home meet of the season. The Broncs were outnumbered about 30 to 6 but swam and dove with determination. Junior Luke Ostrowski, shown here, took first place in the 100 Meter Freestyle with a time of 1:02.08 while teammate Jack Syring took second place 4-seconds later with a time of 1:06.14.

Sheridan Junior High School 7th Grader (right) Kayli Turlington was awarded a scholarship to space camp Thursday at SJHS. 2011 Wyoming Teacher of the Year Laurie Graves (right) presented her with the award along with a $1,000 travel voucher.

University of Wyoming President Tom Buchanan was in Sheridan on Wednesday and sat down with Sheridan Media to discuss several topics related to the state's only public 4-year institution.

Sign-Ups Open for “Dining with Diabetes”

The University of Wyoming Extension Office is teaming up again with Sheridan and Buffalo hospitals to offer “Dining with Diabetes in Wyoming” -- a health, fitness and cooking class.

CHAPS Volunteer Training Begins Jan. 10

CHAPS, Sheridan's Equine Assisted Therapy Program, will hold a series of volunteer training sessions beginning Tuesday, January 10th at Sheridan College.

Jo Co High School Teams Back At It This Week

Johnson County's high school sports teams will get bacj in action this week after the long Holiday break.
The Bison Wrestlers were in Gillette Tuesday to get the sports season started for 2012, and we will have results when they are available.
The wrestlers will travel to Douglas Friday and Saturday to compete in their Invitational Tournament.
The Bison boys' and girls' basketball teams will be in action Friday, as the boys host the Wheatland Bulldogs and the girls play at Wheatland.
The boys games will be at BHS beginning at 4pm for the freshmen, 5:30 for JV and 7 for the varsity.

JCSD1 Meeting On Fate of Clear Creek School Jan. 10
