The Indian Paintbrush Festival is among the many, many things the passing of Senator Malcolm Wallop brings back to memory. On a hot afternoon on August 24, 2004 festival attendees enjoyed an afternoon on a hillside at Canyon Ranch near Big Horn to hear music by Bob Wyatt and his bagpipes, the Craft Brothers, the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra and John Haitt.

Wyoming State Representative John Patton and Sheridan Attorney Rex Arney had close ties with the late former U.S. and Wyoming Senator Malcolm Wallop, who passed away Wednesday.

SAWS Looks to Replace Aging Booster Stations

The Sheridan Area Water Supply Joint Powers Board approved a resolution to apply for a Drinking Water SRF Loan through the state to replace eight old booster stations. SAWS Administrator Rod Liesinger says that began replacing old pumps in 2007.

Coffeen Implements Programs to Improve Reading Scores

Coffeen elementary presented its annual elementary report to the Sheridan County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees at this week's monthly board meeting, with the goal of improving PAWS reading scores for next year.

NWCCD Revisiting Strategic Plan

Sheridan College President Dr. Paul Young told the Board of Trustees at their monthly meeting Wednesday night that the he will meet with college directors this Friday to discuss a new strategic plan.
