Standing between two City of Sheridan vehicles near the Main Street Bridge, Entech Engineering employee Jim Bob Myers has just dropped his hat as if to signal the start of a race to officially re-open Main Street before the start of school on August 30th.

Author to Present Whitney Books Wednesday

Whitney Benefits will present its recently released books that detail the history of its foundation and its founder this Wednesday night at 7 pm at Sheridan College's CTEL center. Sam Western, author of both books, will give the presentation.

Miss Wyoming's Outstanding Teen

Miss Wyoming's Outstanding Teen 2011, Montana Sanners of Lander, was named one of five finalists for the Teens In Action Award at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando. The award went to Miss Utah's Outstanding Teen, but Montana did receive the American Spirit Award.

The new Buffalo/Johnson County Criminal Justice Center is nearly complete and ready for both the Buffalo Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff's Office to occupy, but there are a few minor projects that need to be completed beforehand.

Bison Teams Have Another Busy Weekend

The Buffalo High School Bison athletic teams had another busy weekend with all but the football team in action.

The Bison Golf Team was in the Bighorn Basin for the Powell/Cody Invite. The first round of the tournament was called early due to lightning, so the tournament was an 18-hole event. No Bison golfers finished in the top ten, and the boys team finished seventh out of 10 teams, the girls team finished tied for fourth.
