The Powder River Basin Resource Council will be holding their 6th annual Harvest Celebration this Saturday in Sheridan. Bill Bensel with the Resource Council explains that the annual event is a chance to showcase food produces at local farms and ranches.

Wyarno's Post Office is one of 44 offices in Wyoming that the United States Post Office has put under review for closure as a strategy to cut costs. The USPS has experienced prolonged financial difficulties because of the advances of internet advertising and mail services transferred to email.
Other area offices include Recluse, Parkman, Arvada, Clearmont, and Leiter.

Wyoming statewide graduation rates traditionally hover right around 80 percent – the most recent State Board of Education report for the class of 2010 was 80.4 percent. Rates at Sheridan county schools have recently been in the mid-to-upper 80s.
Six year old "Manifest Destiny" was seen Wednesday bathing in the morning sunlight on the porch of the Sheridan Inn. "Manifest Destiny" was painted in 2005 by Upton, Wyoming artist Karen Barton for a Gillette Easter Seals fund raising auction.
