Rounding the Barrels in Style

The Sheridan Cowgirl's Association held their next to last evening rodeo of the season at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds on Thursday. Coming out on top in barrel racing were Kennedy Myers in Pee Wee Barrels with a time of 20.41, Ellie Bard led in Junior Barrels with an 18.51 run and in Senior Barrels it was Makenna Balkenbush also with an 18.51.

Initial Pre-Trial Conference Scheduled in District Two Court Case

An initial pre-trial conference has been scheduled for August 24th in the discrimination lawsuit filed against Sheridan County School District Two officials. Former District Two employee Michael Kadera filed the lawsuit in U.S District Court of Wyoming in June.

Incident at the Airport

Sheridan Fire-Rescue responded to the Sheridan County Airport shortly after 10 am Friday morning as a call came in that a single engine plane was attempting to land while experiencing problems with its landing gear.

UW Police Investigating Fatality at War Memorial Stadium

July 29, 2011 LARAMIE - University of Wyoming police are investigating the death of a 43-year-old Laramie man whose body was found Thursday night at War Memorial Stadium.

Open Class Entries Are Today at the Fairgrounds

The Sheridan County Fair gets underway with a full day of open class entries today. Sheridan County Fairgrounds Facilities Director Melissa Albrecht says that having the open class entries this early is something new this year.
