WyDOT to Jo Co: Help Convince State to Fund More

Representatives from the Wyoming Department of Transportation gave a presentation to the Johnson County Commission at their meeting Tuesday, explaining what the department is facing now and in the next several years for funding and then in turn, projects throughout the state.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL / OFF SEASON OTA'S

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 20-9 overall they play two in Gering, Nebraska today and two more in Scottsbluff tomorrow.

They host a double header Monday night with Casper and Wednesday against Cody.

We will be broadcasting the first game of the Casper double header live Monday night on AM 14-10 KWYO the first pitch is scheduled to be tossed out at 5:00.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets will play their next games at home tomorrow afternoon against Gillette. The first game of the double header will start at noon.

Six Vie for Miss Wyoming 2011 Crown

Who will be crowned Miss Wyoming 2011? Find out Saturday, June 25th at the WYO Theatre.

Six exceptional young women from around Wyoming will be competing Saturday evening for the 2011 Miss Wyoming Scholarship Crown. Sheridan Media's Mary Jo Johnson introduces them to you.

Trustees at Tuesday's School District 1 board meeting approved unanimously the IBN recommendations for the upcoming school year. District Business Manager Jeremy Smith explains.

Big Horn Steer Wrestler Casey Collins

The State high school rodeo finals started on Thursday at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds in Douglas. In Thursday morning action Big Horn's Casey Collins led the way in Steer Wrestling with a time of 5.88 - a faster time than the 7.29 he had last Saturday at the Sheridan County High School Rodeo where he makes this smooth transition from his horse "Hookem" onto the steer.

Tongue River Runs High

Bicycle/Pedestrian Lane in the Making

On November 23, 2010 WYDOT awarded a $1.3 million contract to Intermountain Construction and Materials of Gillette for a project that includes a pathway for bicycles and pedestrians from Vale Street to Sparrow Hawk Road. Exactly 7-months later the results can be seen in this photo as forms are being set and concrete is being poured.
