Community Comes Together to Discuss Hand in Hand Closure

The Hand in Hand Childcare Center in Sheridan will close Friday, June 3rd.

The announcement earlier this week that the Hand in Hand Early Childhood Education Center would be closing in a matter of days was a shock to say the least to the parents of the over 140 children who attend the childcare center.

WYO Performing Arts Center Grants Approved

WYO Performing Arts Center grants approved by Business Council.

The Wyoming Business Council Thursday recommended approval of two $1 million grants that will greatly benefit and expand the performing arts in Sheridan.

Sheridan Fire Marshall Brian Songer issued a media release indicating that Sheridan Fire-Rescue {SFR} responded with the Hazardous Material Response Vehicle, Haz-Mat 1, to the 2000 block of Dana Avenue Wednesday morning for mutual aid at the request of the Goose Valley Volunteer Fire Department.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - Sheridan college men's basketball coach Steve Smiley says recruiting has gone very well this spring and they are close to wrapping up the roster that will make up the 2011-12 Generals.

One signee is class 3-A player of the year from the state champion Buffalo Bison Aaron Tyser , Smiley says they've been watching Tyser play for the last three years and are happy to have him join the team this fall.

Hand in Hand Parents Holding Meeting Tonight

Families from Hand in Hand are meeting Thursday evening to come up with a solution to their childcare needs after it was announced Monday that the HIH Center will close June 3rd.

News from the powers that run the Hand in Hand Childcare Center in Sheridan dealt a painful blow to the staff, parents and most importantly the children at the center.
