Almira Gafiatullina, Sadie Clarendon and Brekken Baker took the audience of the Shrine Auditorium back 70-years as they sang "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" made famous by the Andrews Sisters in the Abbott and Costello film Buck Privates in 1941. It was a roaring hit Wednesday evening during the Sheridan High School Jazz Band & Spectrum "Big Band Bash 2011" just as it was 70 years ago.

District 1 Approves Preliminary Budget

At Tuesday's Sheridan School District 1 Board meeting, Trustees accepted the preliminary budget for the next fiscal year. Anticipated revenues for 2011-2012 amount to $14,511,217, and anticipated expenditures for 2011-2012 total $14,495,677.
