School District 1 Celebrates Student Accomplishments & Retirees

The Sheridan County School District 1 Board of Trustees held a celebration of sorts at their meeting last night on the Big Horn side of the district.

This pair of stained Sandhill Cranes were seen Wednesday morning near U-Cross.Their bodies appear rusty in color supposedly because they probe into mud containing iron which is then transfer from their bills to their plumage when they preen. For more see: http://www.savingcranes.org/sand...

Sheridan college Generals Head Assistant Coach Ryan Davis has accepted a new job opportunity for the upcoming year, after helping lead the Generals to a 24-10 Mark, North Region 9 Title, and Region 9 Championship Runner-up finish in his first season with the Generals.

Coach Davis will be moving on to the University of Texas-Permian Basin and will be the Graduate Assistant with the Men’s Basketball Program next year.

LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team opens regional tournament play tomorrow night in Casper against Cheyenne east a team they beat twice during the regular season Head coach Tom Racette.

And he says the team is in a good place mentally getting ready to face the T-birds tomorrow.

BRONC SOCCER - The Broncs will got a first round bye and will play in the semi-finals Friday in Laramie head coach Kevin Riser talks about the advantage of having that first round bye.

Budget Work Session: Revenues and One-Cent Funds

Optional one-cent funding may be down a bit this year.

The first of what is to be many upcoming budget work sessions was held Tuesday by the City of Sheridan. The work session focused on revenues from various taxes that make up the City's general fund budget.

Buffalo's Esponda Named Player of the Year

Buffalo High School senior soccer player Kasey Esponda has been named the 2010/2011 Gatorade Wyoming Boys Soccer Player of the Year.
The announcement came Tuesday in a media release from Gatorade.
Esponda is the first soccer player from BHS to earn the honor.

Travel and Tourism Director Visits Buffalo

Diane Shober, Travel and Tourism Director for the State of Wyoming, was in Buffalo Tuesday night to help celebrate the town being selected as one of five pilot communities to help host National Travel and Tourism Week in Wyoming.
