Students Present Drama Showcase Tonight

Sheridan High School Drama Students will present a Showcase tonight at 7:30 in the Sue Henry Auditorium. The performances highlight the competition pieces they took to State Drama in December.

Last December, about fifteen students in the SHS Drama Department competed at Wyoming State Drama, and tonight, the public is invited to enjoy a Drama Showcase highlighting their work.

21-year-old Sheridan resident Trevor Dunham had his Initial Appearance in Sheridan County Circuit Court Thursday. Dunham is charged with two Felonies; Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver - Cocaine; and Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver - Heroin.

Buffalo Council Approves Final Payment on Wastewater Plant

At last week's Buffalo City Council meeting, Public Works Director Les Hook asked that the Council approve the final payment to Hydro Construction and to release a half a million dollars in retainage, essentially bringing the project to a close.

Poker Tournament Benefits Buffalo Boys and Girls Club

Coming up this Saturday is the Sixth Annual Texas Hold 'em Tournament sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of the Bighorns.

JCHC Board Gets Financial Report

The Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center was given the financial report for the month of March at their regular meeting Wednesday night.

Hospital Administrator Sandy Ward said the income for the facility looked good for the month, but expenses were higher than anticipated.

UW SIGNS THREE MORE BAKETBALL PLAYERS

UW ATHLETICS - University of Wyoming Athletic Director Tom Burman joined other university athletic staff in Sheridan Wednesday for the annual Sheridan county Cowboy Joe membership kickoff.

Burman made the announcement two weeks ago that the University had hired one time men's basketball coach Larry Shyatt to become the Cowboys head coach once again a move Burman says the program really needed.

Annie the Buffalo's New Home

A new little gal has joined the existing buffalo and elk at the City Elk Pasture in Sheridan. Little Annie was released into the area Wednesday afternoon, and City Parks Manager Chuck Carbert explains how she came to be there.
