The Sheridan Police Department warns Sheridan area residents of a number of Internet scams that are circulating around the area. In a media release issued by the P.D., they advise to never cash checks or money orders received in the mail unsolicited.

U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis recently commented on U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer's remarks branding the Tea Party as extremists. Lummis responded by saying that clearly the Democrats are learning their talking points.

Wyoming Department of Health Director Tom Forslund has appointed Dr. Tracy Murphy, who currently serves as state epidemiologist and deputy state health officer with the department, as Wyoming's acting state health officer.
