Jo Co Tentatively Agrees to Trabing Road Contract

The Johnson County Commissioners at last week's meeting, voted to tentatively award the contract for work on Trabing Road to Altitude Land Company, pending review from both the county attorney and Altitude Land Co.

The Bison Track and Field Team was at the Dan Hansen Memorial Track Meet in Sheridan last Thursday, and had some top-ten finishes at the event.

Coming up Saturday, April 30th at the Kaycee Library will be a presentation on Jeremiah Johnson.

Archivist and anthropologist Nathan Bender will discuss the life, legends and myths surrounding this mountain man that is forever a part of the history and lore of the Rocky Mountain region.

Ten Graduate from S.C.O.P.E. Program

The ten S.C.O.P.E. graduates proudly display their Certificates of Completion. Those who also pass their GED requirements will get to walk with the graduates at the upcoming Sheridan College Commencement exercises on May 7th.

The spring 2011 class of the S.C.O.P.E. program graduated during a ceremony at Sheridan College on April 22nd.

The 1st annual Local Food Expo will be Saturday April, 30th in Sheridan.

The University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service has teamed up with a number of local agencies in Sheridan to host the first-ever Local Foods Expo.

Poll Question: City Council Decision on Grimshaw Development

A 3-story affordable housing apartment will not be built west of Sheridan because of zoning regulations.

At the April 18th Sheridan City Council meeting, Sheridan developer Steve Grimshaw approached the Council to see if they would reconsider approving a re-zone from R-1 to R-3 on property west of Sheridan.
