In 2010, the City of Sheridan hired the consulting firm of AECOM to develop the Sheridan Scenic character Plan. The plan is intended to preserve the scenic qualities of living in Sheridan.

Hard Loss For JV Girls Soccer

This last Friday April 8th the JV girls soccer team competed against Laramie. The weather was cold with blowing wind and it spiting rain but that didn't stop the girls from playing hard. They kept Laramie back during the first half almost scoring multiple times. During the second half still tied at zero the Lady Broncs still pushed Laramie back almost scoring again. 4th Graders Enjoy Wild West Show

This last Friday April 8th, Sheridan High School hosted a assembly for the 4th Grade classes in their auditorium. The Assembly was to help further there knowledge on the Wild West. The Speaker did this with humor and song playing the guitar, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle. The 4th graders loved it as they sang and clapped along to a lot of the songs while learning about the west.

Sheridan High School Masquerades for Prom

"Masquerade" was the theme for the Sheridan High School Prom 2011.

The Sheridan High School gymnasiums were transformed into an elegant venue that would have made the Phantom of the Opera proud. Saturday night, “Masquerade” was the theme for the 2011 SHS Jr. / Sr. Prom.

Rickie Ryan scores for the Lady Broncs

LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team has won three straight after sweeping games with Laramie and Kelly Walsh over the weekend. They shut-out Laramie 3-0 Friday and held off Kelly 3-2 Saturday.

They had a two goal lead twice against Kelly, Head coach Tom Racette was pleased with the effort.

And he says it was huge to get the weekend conference sweep.

Racette says they are on a roll with the scoring up as they have nine goals in the three consecutive victories.

Poll Question: Firefighters Wage Increase

The International Association of Firefighters Union, Local 276 is fighting for their contract right to a 5% wage increase.

Friday we reported on the vote of the Sheridan City Council not to grant a 5% wage increase to six Sheridan Fire-Rescue personnel, after the International Association of Firefighters Union filed a grievance over the matter.

The 3rd annual Sheridan Media Pinewood Derby Classic was held over the weekend.

It was a fast track over the weekend for the 3rd Annual Sheridan Media Pinewood Derby Classic at Hammer Chevrolet in Sheridan. Local businesses squared off Saturday to see who had concocted the speediest derby car.
