Gatchell Museum Busy Preparing for Opening

This year's Opening Day is Saturday, May 7, but the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum in Buffalo is plenty busy in their off-season.

Jo Co Airport Board Votes to Award Contract

At a special meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Johnson County Airport Board voted to award a contract for repairing a slide at the north end of the runway that poses no danger to aircraft, but is in need of repair, and also to install a newer lighting system to assist pilots when landing.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE HOOPS GEARING UP FOR SIGNING DAY

LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals are coming off an 18 win season Head coach Frank McCarthy says it was a good year for a young team.

Looking ahead to next season the north sub region champs will get to host the region nine tournament and McCarthy says that makes next year's sub region schedule must win to get a chance to host the tournament.

As far as recruiting, several players will be back next year but the process has begun to build for 2011-12.

"All Aboard for the Historical Tour of Eastern Sheridan County" and then Sheridan Community Land Trust (SCLT) Executive Director, Colin Betzler introduced local historian Billie Little who took over and guided the group of 24 as they explored the historic Piney Creek and Clear Creek Valleys with stops at several homestead ranches, historic structures and the town of Clearmont on Saturday.

Curbside Recycling Pilot Program Presentation

The City's curbside recycling program was well liked by those who participated in it.

The Sheridan City Council held a work session Monday to hear the results from the Curbside Recycling Pilot program that began last summer and wrapped up in February.

Planning Commission Approves Chop House Site Plan

The City of Sheridan Planning Commission at their meeting Monday night approved the site plan for the new location of the Wyoming Rib and Chop House at 5th and Main Street in Sheridan.

Jo Co Approves System for Document Storage

Johnson County Commissioners approved and signed a contract for a company to begin scanning and storing documents from the courthouse.
