Operation Orange Work Zone Safety

National Work Zone Safety Week is April 4th - 8th, 2011.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation, the Wyoming Office of Tourism and tourism agencies around the state are teaming up this travel season for Operation Orange.

DEQ Directs City To Investigate Alternative Landfill Sites

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality has issued a recommendation to the City of Sheridan in regard to the City's variance request on the proposed expansion of the landfill. DEQ has ruled that the City needs to further investigate alternative sites for a new landfill.

Osborne Scheduling Conference Held Tuesday

The attorney for convicted murderer Shawn Osborne is reqesting a new trial.

Shortly after being found guilty in November of 2010 for the 1st Degree Murder of 42-year-old Gerald Bloom, Sheridan resident Shawn Osborne hired Attorney Keith Goody from Washington State to represent him.

Tuesday we told you about the City of Sheridan Council work session where the results of the curbside recycling pilot program were presented.

Jo Co Airport Board Votes to Award Contract

At a special meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Johnson County Airport Board voted to award a contract for repairing a slide at the north end of the runway that poses no danger to aircraft, but is in need of repair, and also to install a newer lighting system to assist pilots when landing.

Gatchell Museum Busy Preparing for Opening

This year's Opening Day is Saturday, May 7, but the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum in Buffalo is plenty busy in their off-season.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE HOOPS GEARING UP FOR SIGNING DAY

LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals are coming off an 18 win season Head coach Frank McCarthy says it was a good year for a young team.

Looking ahead to next season the north sub region champs will get to host the region nine tournament and McCarthy says that makes next year's sub region schedule must win to get a chance to host the tournament.

As far as recruiting, several players will be back next year but the process has begun to build for 2011-12.
